barbiecore-radfem:

in the past day, an israeli woman named shani loukan was sexually assaulted and murdered. her naked body was then paraded around by hamas.

she was a mother to a young child. her own mother had to identify her body by watching the horrific video online.

i don’t know enough to speak on this war, so i won’t be, but remember this: when men wage war, it’s women who pay the price. it’s women who are sexually abused, degraded, and tortured.

there hasn’t been a single war in history that has avoided this. revenge rape. comfort women. forced prostitution. every war, every side, every time.

no israeli woman deserves this treatment. no palestinian woman deserves this treatment. there are no women in this war who deserve this.

if you can’t acknowledge that, your humanity is lost.

I don’t get the Roman Empire thing because I’m not going to lie, I think about the Roman Empire quite a lot. It helps that I live in a Roman city I guess but I don’t think it’s weird I think it’s interesting to think about how people used to live and I do it a lot

It’s insane to me that people are so concerned about “trial by media” when it comes to Russell Brand and other rapists being publically exposed, but had no problem gleefully participating in the very literal trial by media against Amber Heard

american police stop acting like actual fucking comic book villains for even one single day challenge (impossible)

Rest in Power Jaanhavi Kandula

Link to article: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/jaahnavi-kandula-remembered-tribute-rcna105262

“Kandula was struck and killed by a different officer while she was crossing the street on Jan. 23. Officer Daniel Auderer, also the vice president of the police union, responded to the scene of the accident and was recorded on his body camera appearing to laugh about and make light of the woman’s death.

“Yeah, just write a check,” Auderer was recorded saying on a phone call. “She was 26 anyway,” he continued, getting Kandula’s age wrong. “She had limited value.””

Also, Kevin Dave — the officer who hit her — was going 40 miles over the limit. 74 mph, specifically, and she was flung 100 ft.

She was from southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. She was pursuing a masters degree in information systems from the Northeastern University campus in South Lake Union. She went to the US in 2021 on a student exchange programme and was due to get her master’s degree in December this year.

Every time a famous man is outed as being abusive or a predator the public reaction is literally enough to drive me into despair and insanity. Like not even a painstakingly researched documentary made over three years with HEAPS of evidence is enough to “prove” anything. Now the catchphrase is “innocent until proven guilty” as if all true criminals 100% of the time go to jail or even face charges, and as if investigative journalism has never served to prove anything or is just a bunch of amateurs making up random baseless claims

Like by the standards people are setting for Russell Brand, Jimmy Savile and Epstein were innocent because they died before any charges were ever brought and it was merely investigative journalists who brought any of it to light. Hell I guess Jack the Ripper is innocent because he was never even caught so it was never proven in court that he did anything. It’s INFURIATING the insane circles people will go in just to defend random men and discredit women. Make no mistake they either believe rape doesn’t really exist or they want it to be legal or a combination of both
